Jury - CH24 Watch of the Year

The jurors for the current edition of the competition are industry journalists who have been covering watches for years. More than half of the jury members come from outside Poland and represent the most important print and digital media devoted to watches in their respective countries.

Elizabeth Doerr has dedicated most of her waking hours to mechanical watches since 1991. She is co-founder and editor-in-chief of online magazine QuillAndPad.com, was an eight-time Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève jury member. Aside from regularly contributing to numerous high-quality publications all over the world, Elizabeth is also the author of two books.

Frank is based in the Netherlands where he got infected by the ‘watch bug’, some 20 years ago. During his career as IT manager, he spent every day and all the holidays, learning about mechanical watches and subsequently he started writing about the watches that intrigued him most. In 2013 he was able to quit his job and focus full-time on MONOCHROME.

He feels privileged to have both his passions for professions, even though sometimes it is hard to change the chip! He is editor of Espiral do Tempo magazine and a member of the Academy of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève.

She is a Director at Watchonista, where she combines editorial work with communication and business-development activities. She regularly covers independent watchmaking, luxury watch brands and industry trends through articles and in-depth video content. Her editorial approach also places collectors at the heart of the conversation, giving greater visibility to the voices and perspectives shaping the collecting community. She holds a Master of Arts from the University of Geneva and pursued executive education at IMD Business School, further developing her expertise in leadership, business and the luxury industry.
